Chef training 2020
At the ICA, everyone (and everything) is off to a running start! Unbelievable as it may seem, the first month of the New Year has come and gone. But 2020 promises to be yet another year of great achievement for SA’s most highly awarded chef school!
This week was dedicated to the registration of all newly enrolled ICA students at our beautiful campus just outside of Stellenbosch. New students were welcomed by a breathtaking view over the Banhoek mountains, vinyeards and orchards as they were issued with the necessary equipment, uniform and gear for their culinary training journey. Induction classes are aimed at familiarising students with the training ethos and vision at the ICA, the emphasis already focused on precision and excellence because these are the qualities that have become synonymous with ICA-trained chefs throughout the culinary industry and is what sets the ICA apart from all other chef training institutions.
Since its inception 25 years ago, ICA graduates have dominated the most prestigious South African culinary rankings and have made definitive marks internationally as well. It is therefore with great excitement and high expectations that we look forward to another year of training, moulding and shaping world-class chefs for an ever-evolving – but hugely rewarding – culinary career.
An ICA student in pursuit of excellence understands that he/she is always striving to achieve distinction in their culinary field, rising above the rest. As we welcome all newly enrolled first-year students at the Institute of Culinary Arts, the emphasis will fall on learning to be the BEST you can be.
