Apart from established industry names such as Vickie de Beer and Herman Lensing, food media’s most recent additions to a magazine editorial team are Liezl Vermeulen (class of 2011) as Food Editor since 2015 and Chad January (class of 2012) as Deputy Food Editor of Pick n Pay’s free monthly food magazine, Fresh Living. In this month’s edition, Liezl’s front page soup feature has certainly impressed Fresh Living Content Director and Group Editor, Justine Drake as she highlights: “Food editor Liezl Vermeulen has outdone herself.
